This is one of my faux gems. It's made to look like a topaz. When I posted my tutorial for faux gems on Instructables, I got a response for a really nice idea to add sparkle to these gems. The responder suggested to spray plastic bags (polythene) with spray paint and then flake off the paint and use the chips in the gems. So I made this with a combination of yellow and brown colors, added some gold flecks, and then set it in gold.
Right now, this little guy is not yet fired. I'm not sure what I want it in or on so I've got it still set in unbaked clay. It really is neat.

I don't understand the last paragraph, Craftastic, because I speak Spanish, not English. The automatic translators any times don't aid.
I'm glad you've implemented my idea with success.
The last paragraph just said that I have not baked the clay with the gem in it. I am not sure what I will do with it yet.
